Extreme ATV Makeover
Maier Plastics are featured in the August 2007 issue of
4 Wheel ATV Action.
Before
After normal riding, bikes just plain get tired. Rims bend and scratch, tires lose their sheen, and plastics crack and fade. It was even anough to give our 2007 Kawasaki KFX700 a few odd glances, and some votes as our "ugliest quad." We then decided to do something about it, as the KFX is one of our favorite cruisers. Here's what we did.
...
The next thing we did was ditch our stock plastics. They were pretty worn out, with some major color fade and broken spots at the mounting points. After reviewing our choices, we chose Maier's $665 plastic set for the KFX, which includes front and rear fenders, mounting hardware, gas cap cover, and carbon-fiber-look front hood for a custom look.
After
After installing the new plastics, the KFX was a completely different monster. It now looks like a race machine, not the same old desert cruiser it used to be. The brighter color also brings out some of the darker pieces, like the black shocks and springs. We already had the FKX blinged out with Yoshimura's dual-muffler exhaust, which also adds to teh package.
...
As you can see, the final product is quite a bit more than appealing.
* Maier plastics come with their industry exclusive 1-Year Warranty and are available in several colors.
